    Ley ker udaas shaam sar-e-raah aa gaya

    Sooraj kia dhala khof adhera ka chha gaya



    Phir teri yaad, phir hai wo hi tera tazkira

    Chal dil kisi bahaney say, sukoon paa gaya



    Ro lein ge thori der, baha lein ge do ansoo

    Ghum ka bohat ghubar ankhon mai chha gaya



    wo dekho toot ker zameen bos huwa hai

    Tthokar mai aasman ki ek Taara aa gaya



    Chhoro na dil dukhao chand bhool bhi jaao

    Kia uss ne rakha yaad, kia wo bhulaa gaya
